93 Points  “The 2021 Chardonnay grapes were picked at 900m from vines aged around 25 years. The wine parades a combination of peach halves, roasted marcona almonds and lemon meringue pie. White nectarine and green melon dominate the palate with an oyster shell saline finish. Matured for seven months in a combination of 20% new and seasoned oak, this wine gathers up a collection of intriguing aromatics and delivers the zippy acidity and elegance of cool climate Orange in one. I’d love to see this wine served alongside sweet shellfish like pearl meat or razor clams. A pure wine.”

92 Points “Lots to like here with a mix of power and subtlety, and Orange’s cool climate clearly visible thanks to an array of green mango and nectarine fruits wrapped up in a bed of spicy, nutty oak with gently leesy detail. The package is a picture of elegance with bright acidity and citrus flavours well matched to understated oak. Finely etched detail rises up over a long, crisp finish. While delicious now, give this a couple of years to fill out. Super value.”

“A true cool area chardonnay in which the white peach/melon aromas are enhanced by cashew nut complexity. The creamy palate is built on a backbone of acidity. One of few Australian chardonnays we’d serve with oysters.” ★★★★☆
